While camping on Mount Princeton, I started a daily drawing practice, drawing grasses plein air, graphite on hand dyed paper. All of the grasses were growing in the little plot of land where I was camping. Even though it isn't a particularly grassy place, the variety of grasses is remarkable - and went mostly unnoticed by me until I started paying more attention to the ground around me.
The accordion book block features 9 drawings, each in an embossed rectangle. Bound in a case of craquele leather with back pared onlays held closed with a leather belly band. Housed in a leather covered box with a wooden sided tray.
